Hi, I am having trouble uninstalling flash player from my Mac. What app should I use to uninstall it?
you probably don't wanna do that, because some websites have to have it,
especially like if you are watching youtube.
Ah, the mac. Something I've always wanted to learn how to use.
Cool thanks, I love using she Mac it is amazing.
If you want to uninstall Flash, that's your prerogative.
Under Applications in Finder you want to get rid of the FlashPlayer app file. Goes to the trash unless you're like yours truly and cheat / use the terminal for administrative tasks.
Now, after that, in Finder use the Go menu to go to Library, and look under Preferences and Preference Panes for anything Flash related.
Send all that to the trash.
Exit Safari - the Command Q kind of exit not just close the window.
Empty your trash and Flash is gone.
Trust me, it's easier than when I had to get rid of MacKeeper from my daughter's computer.
Seriously though, for administrative tasks, Terminal is your friend, learn how to use it.
Finder tries to hide things you can find using Terminal.
Flash doesn't install like a normal app, there is nothing in applications to remove. Adobe has a file designed to remove flash, but removing it could pose problems later on.
How do you access the terminal?
In utilities you can select terminal, be warned tough that isn't for beginner mac users. chances you make in there can have very real consequences if you do something wrong.
Ok
